Nashville - Our foray into Music City had nothing to do with music. But had to provide touristy evidence that we were actually down south. Our friend and fellow indie filmmaker allowed us to tagged along her shoot about state-of-the-art prosthetic research. Yup, saw a fancy robotic arm and a leg that bionic woman would've wanted. The hand can crush a can or pop a light bulb by curling its fingers. So we didn't volunteer shaking hands with it. The leg featured the world's first power knee and ankle. I guess the next step would be to program Bruce Lee kicks into it. If you're really curious, go to Daria's site: Out on a Limb

valuables
what do you say when intruders invade your home, steal your resalable items and leave the rest in a hurricane whirl? we're ok - thankfully, we weren't there when it happened. I was the first one back to make the discovery. yet as soon as I let the word out, I was immediately comforted by concerned friends and family. the tally of the damage: our gear, used & new. the realization: we're very loved, priceless. 感謝!

gobble gobble
This Thanksgiving lived up to its namesake - we feasted with friends from our 512 Children's List while welcoming Luwen and her mom who hail from Luoshui, Sichuan.
Luwen tasted her first turkey and learned how to kick Noah's butt in Wii. Our party continued the next day at Tea Dragon. Very grateful for having all you folks in our lives.

That Santa Ana Whip
Maybe the Golden State should change its moniker to Santa Ana Winds Go Away State... goodness gracious! We love California and would even live there if it weren't for the brush fires, lack of water (esp. during a fire storm), flash floods, earthquake. oh yeah, and that thing they just passed called Prop. 8.

December schedule
We have a full-schedule ahead starting with Out on a Limb, Daria's documentary on how high-tech prosthesis is transforming the lives of amputees.
Ongoing webmastering for two southern Calif. companies (yes, otherwise known as family biz): Mirage Entertainment and Kao's Pacific Interior & Design.
All this in addition to the editing of "Dreaming of Tea" (working title), our second tea film at Tea Dragon Films about the exquisite organic tea, Dong Fang Meir Ren (Oriental Beauty).
The Meaning of Tea: Hello from Tea Dragon Films!
